The Police Symphony Orchestra (PSO)—an orchestra and choir from Police nad Metují—is a collective of enthusiastic musicians, singers, and volunteers founded in 2010. Today, it brings together around 150 members. PSO’s repertoire is remarkably broad, ranging from classical music through film soundtracks, rock, and swing to popular and contemporary songs.

PSO has earned a reputation for “refreshing” established notions of symphonic music. It consistently seeks new ways to bring orchestral music closer to wider audiences, freely crossing boundaries and collaborating with artists from other genres—an approach that remains a defining part of its identity.

Thom Artway will appear as the evening’s special guest. Thom, born Tomáš Maček, is a Czech singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music blends singer-songwriter traditions with elements of folk, pop, and rock. His career took off with the hit “I Have No Inspiration” (2015), which became one of the most-played songs on Czech radio. His debut album *Hedgehog* earned him two Anděl Awards (Newcomer of the Year and Singer of the Year). In recent years, Thom has significantly expanded his repertoire—since 2021 he has also been singing in Czech and released the album *Trhám mraky* (2024), showcasing his musical maturity and new artistic direction. During the evening, selected songs will be performed in orchestral arrangements.
