This festival evening could be labelled as the feast of Ostrava. Karel Dohnal launched his successful artistic career at the Ostrava conservatoire, Eliška Novotná is a teacher at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava and a much sought after piano accompaniment and Sylva Smejkalová, today working at HAMU in Prague, has her origin and family roots closely connected with Ostrava, too.
